How We Do It

With our community volunteers!

Hands on labour, inspirational energy and expertise of local community volunteers and project founders.

We have a pool of volunteers who, at their own choice, can come to our field days as often as they like. If you’d like to join us why not become a member? Then you could come along every month, or every second month, or do three months then take a break. It’s your call.

Come to a Field Day

Our Field Days are held on the first Sunday of every month (except on Father’s Day and long weekends) where we all work together in a short two-hour burst. Sometimes we plant things, sometimes we clear things. We start at 9:00am and finish right on 11:00am. It’s a fun and hands on couple of hours, and we always like to relax afterwards with a glass of something and a BBQ.

Join our mailing list here to keep up to date on where we will be or book your spot here to let us know how many snags to throw on the BBQ.

If you’d like to join us or learn more, give us a call 0416 110 296 or email biodiversitymv@gmail.com and follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Join us for Weedy Wednesdays

In 2023, we kicked off Weedy Wednesdays - a weekly session somewhere around McLaren Vale focused on removing as many weeds as we can. It’s on every week, no need to register, just turn up and get busy cleaning up our magnificent region. Like our Field Days, we work for 2 hours and then admire the hard work afterwards with drink and a quick snack before we head home. The location will change throughout the year, so keep an eye on our socials or subscribe to our mailing list here to find out where we’ll be.
